Here on the ship we have had an incredible 48hrs of celebrating, praising God, and enjoying time together as one big family. It has been quite an experience but one I have loved and enjoyed being involved with.

Being hot over winter feels bizzare and I still don't know how people were managing to wear Christmas jumpers in 28 degree heat...
There are people from so many different backgrounds and cultures on board so there have been many different traditions. One of these being "Shoe Presents", you leave your shoe (or slipper in my case) outside your cabin door on Christmas Eve, in the morning when you open your door you have a pile of gifts and messages from your crew mates, such fun!
Yes the presents, food and laughter has been great but I have two main highlights.
1) Visiting the patients on the ward. For most of them they will not have experienced anything quite like it. We gave them presents, sang carols with them and told them that they were loved. So many beaming faces smiled back at us and joy filled the ward.

2) Realising how incredibly blessed I am and loved already by so many people. I've been here for 9days yet people wanted to show me how much they cared, whether that was by giving me a hug, making me presents, praying with me or thanking me for being a blessing. I have friends already who want to go above and beyond to show love and it's incredible.
Signing off for today with a happy head and a grateful heart! x
